TVOC runs a series of low key events, generally once a month, on Saturdays. These events are an exciting
introduction to orienteering, and are aimed at children, families, beginners and improvers of all ages. More
experienced orienteers are also welcome to attend.
Courses of all standards and help for beginners is available. Course lengths are normally upto Green standard,
although the planner may offer a longer Green course for those wanting a longer run.

Please note: If you have already tried orienteering 3 times and not become a member you will not be covered by
the British Orienteering Public Liability Insurance. You can join at the next event, please ask for a form.
The cost for these events is £6 for adults and family groups (£4 for TVOC or BOF members) and £2 for juniors and students.
Extra maps £1 each. EMIT hire included, second runs at an event are free.
Registration normally open from about 10am until 11.30am, and starts from 10.30am until 12 noon. No formalities,
just turn up and enjoy.
Coaching for beginners
Coaching will be available at these events, check with the organiser or coaching[at]tvoc.org.uk if you are intending to bring a large group.
It is recommended to save time at registration to download the TVOC event
entry form. Fill this in, print it, and bring it with you to the event.

To make it more interesting and give all a chance to win, we adopt a handicap system on the Light Green and Green
(or short green if applicable) courses. For full details see the Quick Links menu.

All Saturday series events will also be part of the TVOC Schools League. There is no extra charge for this, simply sign
up with your school details to gain points for your school.
