Summer Series - Furze Brake - 2 June 2010

Dear TVOC and all others,
Information about Furze Brake on Wednesday 2nd of June:
Mass start at 19:30 at same place as Saturday event, January 2010.
Access to the event is via Culham Science Centre, A415 between Clifton Hampden and Abingdon signed Culham Science Centre, then follow tapes (as before) SU 534965, OX14 3DB, North side of fence around Culham Site.

Information:
1.To avoid nettles (if you are in nettles - you are making mistake, please do not go into nettles!) the course is slightly longer than usual, as roads and open fields are used to get off nettles, so it will be fast. However, there is high grass/bluebells in the wood and full leg cover is recommended.
2. All cultivated fields are crossable, but please try to avoid them - it will not be needed and the grass is high.
3. Many new small man-made objects (hides etc) are not mapped.

Loops (provisional):
A - 3.4k 8 controls
B - 1.8k 11 controls (middle-distance style, mainly in the wood)
C - 2.0k 5 controls (mainly fields, roads, but some wood as well)
