Shotover Saturday Series event 12 November 2011 : Officials' Comments
Organiser/Planner's Comments:
My original intended venue for this event was Bernwood, but when this fell through due to permission problems I was lucky that Shotover had not already been taken by someone else. Having planned two events here earlier in the year I knew it well, with the biggest problem being trying to find different challenges to the ones set in May and June!
One big advantage of this time of year is that the undergrowth has died down, and I hope that you managed to get off the paths at times. For the harder courses my main aim was to mix longer legs with straight or round route choices with short legs to test fine navigation. From the comments I heard at the finish this seemed to work well, and plenty of alternative routes were tried.
Thanks to you all for coming, and particular thanks to those who make the planner's life easier by handling entries and download or collecting in controls afterwards.
