TVOC runs a series of low key events, generally once a month, on Saturdays. These events are an exciting introduction to orienteering, and are aimed at children, families, beginners and improvers of all ages. More experienced orienteers are also welcome to attend.
Courses of all standards and help for beginners is available. Course lengths are normally upto Green standard, although the planner may offer a longer Green course for those wanting a longer run.
As of January 2013 the cost for these events is £5 for adults (£4 for TVOC or BOF members) and £2 for juniors. EMIT hire included, second runs at an event are free. See here for a full explanation of the new prices.
Registration normally open from about 10am until 11.30am, and starts from 10.30am until 12 noon. No formalities, just turn up and enjoy.
Coaching for beginners will be available at these events, check with the organiser or coaching[at]tvoc.org.uk if you are intending to bring a large group.
Emit electronic punching is used at these events.
For a definition of the course colour standard see the British Orienteering newcomers guide.
It is recommended to save time at registration to download the TVOC event entry form. Fill this in, print it, and bring it with you to the event.
Saturday Series League
To make it more interesting and give all a chance to win, we adopt a handicap system on the Light Green and Green (or short green if applicable) courses. For full details see the Saturday Series Handicap League page.

Previous years' handicap league results can be seen on the Saturday series archive page
All Saturday series events will also be part of the TVOC Schools League. There is no extra charge for this, simply sign up with your school details to gain points for your school.
